2017 Pathfinder Award nominations needed

Nominations for the 2017 Pathfinder Award are due Jan. 27, 2017.
The UAF Department of Alaska Native Studies and Rural Development established the
annual Pathfinder Award to recognize an outstanding UAF staff member who exemplifies
compassion and dedication to the success of Alaska Native and rural students.
Employees at all UAF campuses and learning centers are eligible for the award. Letters
of nomination should detail how the employee:
- Serves as an advocate for Alaska Native/rural students
- Assists Alaska Native/rural Students to overcome personal and academic challenges
- Demonstrates a high level of commitment to the success of Alaska Native/rural students
- Engages effectively with leaders, students or regional residents to advance educational opportunities for Alaska Native/rural students
