Ice bears on campus

Question

The ice sculptures are always a lovely addition to campus, but I thought we may not see them this year due to budget issues. Is there a generous donor that we can thank for continuing this tradition?

Response

Facilities Services paid for Ice Alaska to carve four ice bears at a cost of $800 each. As you mentioned, they are a lovely addition to campus, and it’s important that we continue to enhance the campus aesthetics to make it a welcoming vibrant environment to live, work and learn.
