Academic walk to be held at Friday's hockey game

The Alaska department of athletics will honor its student-athletes for their success in the classroom at the first intermission of hockey's game against Bowling Green on Friday night at the Carlson Center.

A total of 60 Nanook student-athletes, across all 10 sports, will be recognized on the ice for achieving a 3.0 grade-point average during the 2012 Spring semester.

Twenty-five different majors or fields of studies are included among the 60 recipients.
