Author Dan O'Neill to discuss biography of David Hopkins, Last Giant of Beringia

Author Dan O’Neill will present "Dave Hopkins and the Bering Land Bridge: And the Crossing from Science to English," Thursday, Oct. 27, from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Murie Auditorium on the Fairbanks campus of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. O’Neill will discuss his book "The Last Giant of Beringia," which centers on Hopkins' life and his seminal scholarship on the Bering Strait land bridge. Light refreshments will be served after the presentation.

This free public lecture is sponsored by students with UAF’s Resilience and Adaptation Program and by the Arctic Division of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. An interdisciplinary program, RAP focuses on questions of sustainability, resilience and adaptation in times of rapid change, particularly in Alaska and the Circumpolar North.
