Chancellor's Leadership Academy

September 19, 2013

Cornerstone

The LIVE program will soon begin accepting applications for the 2013 - 2014 Chancellor’s Leadership Academy, a yearlong cohort leadership development program.

Through participation in this program, students will learn more about The Leadership Challenge and the Five Practices For Exemplary Leadership.  As a group, communication, collaboration, appreciating diversity, clarifying values, social responsibility, controversy with civility and more will be discussed.

Throughout the program, participants will complete a number of activities, including  monthly leadership development seminars and community service projects. Participants will also select a local non-profit agency to work with for the year.  This will give students the opportunity to address an underlying social issue on an individual level.  Upon completion of the program, UAF students will be better equipped to lead groups and others and create positive change in their communities on a local, national and global scale.

Applications can be found at www.uaf.edu/leadership/ and are due by 5 p.m. on Sept. 30.
