Researchers to hold river modeling workshop with state personnel

UAF civil engineering Professor Horacio Toniolo and postdoctoral researcher Joel Homan
will hold a workshop with state personnel to discuss research into two-dimensional
models of river hydraulics.
The workshop with personnel from the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public
Facilities will be held March 1-2 in Fairbanks.
The workshop builds off Toniolo's project, "Developing Guidelines for 2-Dimensional Hydraulic Model Review and Acceptance," through the UAF-led Center for Environmentally Sustainable Transportation in Cold Climates.
The workshop is not open to the public, but interested parties may download the materials
from the CESTiCC Workforce Development page after the event.
