Gathering will celebrate D.A. Bartlett's life

A commemoration of Professor Emeritus D.A. Bartlett's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, in St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 1030 Second Ave., in downtown Fairbanks.

A reception to share memories will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Raven Landing Center, 1222 Cowles St.

Bartlett was a faculty member with UAF's English Department for more than 20 years, a librarian for the Alaska Constitutional Convention in 1955-1956 and the daughter of one of Alaska's first U.S. senators, E.L. "Bob" Bartlett. She died in Fairbanks on Sept. 5, 2015.
