The culminating event of Women's History and Culture Month will be a Celebration of Women and Music at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, in the Margaret Murie Building lobby.

The event will honor Suzanne Summerville, former music professor, for her work in advancing the role of women in music and music in Alaska and her contributions to UAF. Musical performances by UAF faculty, staff and students, as well as community members, will honor Summerville's accomplishments and women participating in musical ventures of all genres.

The event is hosted by the Chancellor's Advisory Committee for the UAF Women's Center with support from Women's and Gender Studies.

Enjoy music, desserts, commemoration and conversation at this festive gathering, which is free and open to the public.
