Extension hosts free community classes

Registration is now open for 20 free mini community classes scheduled for Oct. 12-17 in Fairbanks.

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service district office will host the classes as part of its Fall Extension Week. Topics will include gardening, cooking, social media, estate planning and food preservation. Classes meet at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on most days and will last about one to two hours. Most of the classes will meet at the district office at 724 27th Ave., on the southwest corner of the Fairbanks Community Food Bank Building.
