Fischer, Wohlforth to speak at UAF

The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host a free public lecture and book signing with Vic Fischer and Charles Wohlforth Friday, April 26 at 6 p.m. in the Salisbury Theatre.
The pair will discuss their book, "To Russia with Love: An Alaskan's Journey," published by the University of Alaska Press. The book chronicle's Fischer's childhood in Stalinist Russia, his family's escape, his early life in Alaska and his many return visits to Russia.
Fischer was a delegate to Alaska's constitutional convention, held at UAF from November 1955 to February 1956.
