Summer Sessions is hosting a variety of lectures, movies and concerts this week. All events will take place at the Murie Building Auditorium unless otherwise noted. All events listed below are free to the public.

 

Wednesday, July 31
5:30 — 6:30 p.m. — Family Fitness Wednesday: Join us for an hour of yoga that can help you relax and rejuvenate. The event is held at the the Student Recreation Center.

7 p.m. — Discover Alaska Lecture: “Midnight Sun Land Aurora” with Neal Brown, Professor Emeritus of the Geophysical Institute

Thursday, Aug. 1
7 p.m. — Music in the Garden with Rock Bottom Stompers. Rooted in bluegrass, honky-tonk and southern string band sensibilities, the RBS render a disparate assortment of lonesome tune stock for your stomping pleasure. The event is free and takes place at the Georgeson Botanical Garden.

7 p.m. — REEL History night - Vendetta Song (2005) -  Montreal filmmaker Eylem Kaftan travels to Turkey in an attempt to unravel the 30-year-old mystery of her aunt Guzide’s murder (52 mins)
