Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Luther Adams will be back in the state in September with a series of public events in Anchorage planned by the Alaska Humanities Forum as part of the Pulitzer Prize Centennial Campfires Initiative . His talk on Friday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m. will be broadcast live at the University of Alaska Museum of the North.

The Fairbanks community is invited to attend the event in the museum auditorium and tour Adams' installation, "The Place Where You Go to Listen," before it closes for a few weeks for upgrades. Adams will travel next to Fairbanks to oversee the improvements to the popular exhibit made possible by a grant from the Rasmuson Foundation.

The talk, “Music in the Anthropocene,” will also be available online. The audience will be able to participate and ask questions.
