On Thursday, Aug. 25 and Friday, Aug. 26 contractors will be modifying the asphalt roof at Artic Health.
The contractor will have an asphalt heating kettle located on the north east corner of the facility away from the building air intakes.
The distinct smell from the kettle may cause mild nasal and respiratory irritation, fatigue, or a headache. The asphalt is non-toxic and non-carcinogenic. UAF and the contractor will minimize the use of the kettle as much as possible.
MSDS Sheets will be posted in the building entrances.
