The road show version of "Political Junkie" is coming to the University of Alaska Fairbanks on July 11, and tickets are still available.

The show, which will analyze key races in Alaska and across the country, is based on Ken Rudin's former program, "Political Junkie," which aired on National Public Radio's "Talk of the Nation" from 2006 to 2013. The Fairbanks show will include trademark features such as trivia quizzes, ScuttleButton puzzles and the back-and-forth between Rudin and former NPR host Neal Conan.

Rudin, formerly NPR's political editor, now hosts "Ken Rudin's Political Junkie," a show broadcast on several public radio stations around the country. He also writes a weekly column and maintains a blog.

Conan, an award-winning journalist, was the final host of "Talk of the Nation" before it was canceled in 2013. Conan also served as editor, producer and executive producer of NPR’s flagship evening news magazine, "All Things Considered."

The "Political Junkie" show will begin at 7 p.m., July 11, in the Wood Center ballroom. Tickets are $10. For more information or to reserve tickets, contact UAF Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning at 907-474-7021 or stop by 216 Eielson Building on the Fairbanks campus.
