Professor to talk about engaging children in research

The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host a free public lecture, "Young Children as Active Researchers," at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Schaible Auditorium. Parking on campus is free after 5 p.m.

Carie Green, an assistant professor in the UAF School of Education, will give the presentation, which is part of the monthly research showcase hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity. Green worked with children at UAF's Bunnell House Early Childhood Lab School during her research on engaging young children as researchers.
