Register, get travel grants for Alaska science forum

The 9th Western Alaska Interdisciplinary Science Conference and Forum will convene March 9–12, 2016, in Dillingham, Alaska. This year's conference title is Adaptation: Tides of Change.

Abstracts are due to Tara Borland (taborland@alaska.edu), with the University of Alaska Fairbanks College of Rural and Community Development, by Jan. 31. See the call for papers for more information. Participants can register online.

Since the first WAISC in 2008, the Alaska Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research has provided individual grants to offset the cost of participant travel.

Alaska EPSCoR will make small number of travel awards of up to $1,500 per person for University of Alaska–affiliated individuals to participants in the conference. People traveling within the United States, including its territories and possessions, are eligible. Applications are due by midnight Jan. 18, 2016.
