School of Education receives Family Friendly Workplace Award

the UAF School of Education was recognized by Borough Mayor Luke Hopkins as a family friendly workplace at the Chamber of Commerce luncheon April 16. The award recognizes family friendly workplace practices that support economic growth and prosperity, benefiting employers through increasing employee productivity and assisting in employee recruitment and retention, as well as supporting a healthy community by growing the next generation of our citizenry while maintaining a strong workforce. The family friendly workplace practices benefit parents balance of work and family. What makes this award special is that nominations were made by employees who believe their employers showed true leadership by going above and beyond in their family friendly workplace practices.
