Ski Land season passes available for UAF students

September 29, 2016

UAF students who are taking nine or more credits and pay the $75 Student Recreation Center fee this year will be eligible to receive a free season pass to Ski Land. The university will close the on-campus terrain park this winter.

Ski Land is a downhill skiing area located off the Steese Highway north of Fairbanks. It offers skiers and snowboarders both beginner and advanced terrain and a lift. Students who don’t have equipment will be able to rent equipment, for a reduced fee, at the mountain. Outdoor Adventures is planning some trips to the slopes during the spring semester, and Ski Land is exploring offering a shuttle during peak season.

Ski Land will be at the Student Recreation Center Oct. 25-27 for students who want to get their season passes on campus. Students can also stop by the SRC at any time after Oct. 10 and get their season pass vouchers, which can be redeemed at Ski Land.
