"Speaking of Sex," an interactive dramatic production, will be held at UAF's Hess Recreation Center on Thursday, April 16, at 7 p.m.

The program combines short dramatic scenes, moderated talk-backs and real life scenarios to cut through the rhetoric and get at the real issues.

"Speaking of Sex" was created by the Minnesota-based GTC's Dramatic Dialogues. The organization's Intervention Theatre tours nationally with this production and others.

"Speaking of Sex" provides a safe forum to question or comment on the complicated webs of sexual communication and miscommunication. GTC's trained professionals solicit responses from students, challenging them to think past their initial responses to look more deeply at the complexities, and to ask, "Is this really what I believe?" "Speaking of Sex" encourages students to teach and learn from each other.

The UAF Women's Center, UAF Student Activities Office and UAF Residence Life are sponsoring this innovative and powerful programming. For more information, visit www.uaf.edu/uafwomen, call 474-6360 or drop by the Women's Center, Room 130 Wood Center.
