The board that helps decide how to spend money from the sustainability fee needs new student members for the fall 2015 semester.

The Review of Infrastructure, Sustainability and Energy Board recommends how the UAF chancellor should spend about $400,000 raised annually by the student fee.

Past work funded by the fee includes solar panel installations, the Green Bikes program and food gardening on campus.

Students submit most of the ideas  the board endorses.

Students make up the majority of the board. Others include one faculty, one staff, a chancellor’s representative and a UAF community member. The board meets every other week during the academic year and once per month during the summer.

Serving on the RISE Board is great way to help make UAF a leader in sustainability while learning, growing and building your resume.
