Teaching tip: HTML basics

HTML is a set of markup symbols or codes inserted in a file intended for display in web browsers. Basically, it's the code behind websites. Whether you realize it or not, every time you create content online (make a Blackboard entry, publish to a website, post on Facebook, comment on a blog, etc.) you are using HTML.
