The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host holiday sales, open houses and concerts in the coming weeks. Following is a list of events scheduled during the holidays:

University of Alaska Museum of the North holiday sale
Nov. 23 through Dec. 24, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m, Monday – Saturday, UA Museum of the North
Holiday sale prices include 20 percent off bone sculptures and masks, and 10 percent off all other museum store merchandise, including ivory carvings, beadwork, children's books and toys. Free gift-wrapping is available. Call 474-1595 for more information.

The Alaska History store holiday sale
Nov. 20 through Dec. 30, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m, Monday – Friday, Rasmuson Libary, Room 334
The Alaska History Store is offering 40-60 percent off the remaining stock on hand just in time for holiday shopping. Come early for the best selection. Call 474-6344 to ensure someone will be there to help you.

Large Animal Research Station holiday bazaar
Friday, Nov. 30, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., West Ridge Research Building lobby and Room 210
The Large Animal Research Station’s annual holiday bazaar includes hoodies and T-shirts featuring muskox and caribou, along with other gifts and qiviut. For more information, contact Pam Groves at pgroves@alaska.edu.

Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra – Design Alaska Holiday Concert
Sunday, Dec. 2, 4 p.m., Charles W. Davis Concert Hall
This annual holiday concert will feature the Fairbanks Symphony with the Fairbanks Symphony Chorus and Northland Youth Choir. For tickets and information, call 474-5733.

Alaska Sea Grant, Marketing and Communications and UA Press open house, sale
Thursday, Dec. 6, 2 – 6 p.m., Wells Fargo Bldg., second floor, Geist Road and University Ave.
The event will include free refreshments, door prizes, book signings, free gift-wrapping and 25 percent off all Alaska Sea Grant and UA Press items. Take a picture with the Nanook. UAF music department – Music at One
Tuesday, Dec. 4 and Thursday, Dec. 6, 1 p.m., Charles W. Davis Concert Hall
These free public concerts feature UAF music students performing a variety of pieces.

UAF art department semiannual sale of student artwork
Friday, Dec. 7, noon – 6 p.m., Fine Arts Building, multiple studios

The Alaska History Store – 17x22 print sale
Friday, Dec. 7, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Rasmuson Library Kayak Room
Remaining stock of 17x22 prints of historical photographs will be on sale for $15 each.

University Chorus holiday concert
Saturday, Dec. 8, 7 p.m., Charles W. Davis Concert Hall
Jaunelle Celaire directs the University Chorus in a concert of holiday music. Admission is $10 adults, $5 students, seniors, military; children 12 and under are free. Call 474-7555 for more information.

UAF holiday concert: A Concert of Holiday Contrasts
Sunday, Dec. 9, 4 p.m., Charles W. Davis Concert Hall, UAF campus
The Choir of the North, The UAF Wind Symphony and the UAF Jazz Band will join for a holiday concert. The Choir of the North will perform holiday favorites, including Buxtehude's In Dulci Jubilo with Alleluia and Ray Charles' famous arrangement of Jingle Bells. The UAF Wind Symphony and the UAF Jazz Band will join together to present Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn's Nutcracker Suite with Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. Tickets are $10 for adults/$5 students, military and parents. Tickets are available at the UAF music department office or at the door.

Merry Tuba Christmas
Sunday, Dec. 9, 2-4 p.m., Great Hall, UAF campus
All tuba and euphonium players are invited to participate in Christmas Tubas. A rehearsal will be held from 2-3 p.m. Dec. 9 in the Regents' Great Hall. The Christmas Tubas will then play pre-concert music in the Great Hall from 3:30-3:50 p.m. Participants receive free admission to the UAF holiday concert.
