The University of Alaska statewide incident management team will host two days of violent intruder training for Butrovich Building employees Nov. 30 and Dec. 2 from 9:30 - 11 a.m. and 1:30 – 3 p.m. in the Regents’ Conference Room. Part of the training will include law enforcement personnel firing blank rounds from a firearm, in order to offer participants a demonstration of how guns sound when they are fired indoors. Visitors to the building or in the surrounding area might hear gunshots, muffled pops or other unfamiliar noises during the demonstration.
