FloWater refill stations, a premium, low-cost alternative to bottled water, have been installed in three buildings at UAF.

FloWater offers the same quality water or better than bottled water, but for just 25 cents. The stations accept debit and credit cards. Students and others can save hundreds of dollars a year in bottled water costs and eliminate the plastic pollution.

Refill stations are located on the Reichardt Building's second floor by the vending machines, on the Duckering Building's main floor by the vending machines and on the Student Recreation Center's second floor next to the track.

The stations' purification system features sediment, carbon and coconut carbon filters, reverse osmosis, activated oxygen, ultra-violet light and remineralization.

The initiative to offer FloWater stations at UAF was spearheaded by Sustainable UAF.

FloWater produced a 60-second introductory video for UAF, viewable at http://vimeo.com/myflowater/uaf.
