Webinar to focus on climate change and wildfires

The Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy will host a statewide webinar Tuesday, July 23, at 10 a.m.
Mike Flannigan from the University of Alberta will discuss how a warmer world means longer fire seasons, more lightning activity and drier fuels. He will also speak about how enhanced fire danger rating systems could help people adapt to a warmer world.
