The University of Alaska Fairbanks will launch the second year of the Healthy Living Lecture Series on June 3.

The lectures are a collaborative effort between the university and Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and the Tanana Valley Clinic, with support from the UAF Cooperative Extension Service and UAF Summer Sessions. Professionals from the hospital and clinic will tackle issues such as breast cancer, aging eyes, injury prevention, alternative medicine and retirement without regrets through this free lecture series.

The lectures are an hour long, followed by a question-and-answer session. Robert Hannon, former program director at KUAC, will moderate most of the talks.

The Healthy Living Lecture Series runs each Tuesday from June 3 through Aug. 12. Lectures start at 7 p.m. in the Murie Building Auditorium, near the UA Museum of the North. Past years' lectures are available as YouTube videos on the Summer Sessions website.
