Tickets are now available for the 2016 Chefs’ Challenge at the Museum, a fundraiser for the University of Alaska Museum of the North. The event at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 features the culinary talents of nine local food truck chefs who will each create a signature dish using the key ingredient, HooDoo beer.

Returning champions include Danielle Flaherty of the Stone’s Throw Stone Soup Café and Jeff Oden of Big Daddy’s BBQ. New this year is the dessert competition featuring Jo Pearson of Jo’s Oven, Michaella Perez of Stir It Up, and Michael Dirks of Arctic Chaga XpressO. Each chef will demonstrate her dish in front of a panel of judges and a live studio audience.

Tickets are $75 and all proceeds support the museum’s exhibits, research and education programs. Attendees must be at least 21 years old. The event is presented by Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks and HooDoo Brewing Co.
