The homeland security and emergency management program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks has been ranked fifth in the BestColleges.com publication of the top online homeland security programs in America.
University of Alaska Fairbanks Associate Vice Chancellor of Financial Services Raaj Kurapati will leave July 24 to take a position as the vice president for finance and chief financial officer with the Texas A&M system near Corpus Christi.

Marketing and Communications will officially change its name to University Relations on July 1. The office was called University Relations for more than 30 years prior to 2011.
