University Relations

Planting Day on the Fairbanks campus will take place Wednesday, June 7, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Come fill flower beds and planters scattered across campus with blooms, fragrances and color.

Flower beds will not be pre-adopted this year. Volunteers should come to Turtle Circle in front of Constitution Hall to get their bed assignments, from there a "flower shuttle" will take volunteers to West Ridge if needed.

Grounds crew members are available to help with planting and locating beds around campus if volunteers need assistance.

Like last year, flower baskets will be given away like last year to encourage participation. Two flower baskets will be given away. Volunteers will put their names in when they sign up. Be sure to use #uafplantingday when posting to social media.

A refreshment table will offer juice, water, tea, and pastries. For a color flyer for posting around the office, go here.
