Registration open for Staff Recognition and Development Day

Registration is now open for UAF Staff Recognition and Development Day on Thursday,
May 12, from 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The day features a variety of free personal and professional
development sessions. Download the session map (pdf).
The day will begin with a welcome from Chancellor Mike Powers and the longevity awards
ceremony at the Wood Center ballroom. Please come out to support your colleagues and
congratulate them on their years of service to the university.
The longevity awards will be offered via webcast for sites outside of Fairbanks, and
there are sessions available via Google Hangouts.
Go to www.uaf.edu/chancellor/appreciation/ to sign up for a variety of professional and personal development sessions, which
begin at 10:30 a.m. and continue through late afternoon. Eligible UAF staff anywhere
in Alaska who have registered for at least one event will be entered to win tickets
from Alaska Airlines and Ravn Alaska. Some restrictions apply.
Lunch at Wood Center, from 11:45 a.m.–1:15 p.m., will be Texas-style slow roasted
barbecue pulled pork, Southern-style broccoli salad, house-made potato chips, biscuits
and cornbread muffins, whole kernel corn O’Brien, and grilled ratatouille vegetable
blend. Sign-up for lunch is required. Please sign up by May 9 so we can get accurate
counts to catering.
Employees will also have the opportunity to attend a health fair from 11 a.m.–1:30
p.m. in Wood Center. Human Resources staff will be there to answer questions about
open enrollment from 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
The day will end with an ice cream social sponsored in Wood Center at 4 p.m. and great
door prizes. You must be present to win door prizes.
