Alaska's Land and Sea Lecture Series: Building with Hardwood Logs June 12

Valerie Barber will give a free lecture on how Alaska hardwoods, aspen and cottonwood, provide excellent logs for full-scribe cabin building at 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 12 in 201 O'Neill as part of Alaska’s Land and Sea Lecture Series.

Barber directs the UAF-Forest Products Program for UAF-SNRAS and is a forestry/climate change specialist with Cooperative Extension Service. She organizes log cabin building and other workshops with an emphasis on using Alaska’s natural resources.

Alaska’s Land and Sea Lecture Series will be held every Tuesday evening June 5 – August 14 (no lecture on July 3) at 7 p.m. in 201 O’Neill.
