University Relations

The office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity, or URSA, is offering up to $5,000 for an individual or a group of two or more students conducting research or creative projects during the 2021 summer semester.

The application period opens Monday, Jan. 18.
Apply online by Sunday, Feb. 21.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students taking at least 6 credits are invited to apply. Students can be in any year, from any major.

Projects do not need to be in the student’s degree program. Funds can be used for a stipend, registration fees to present at a virtual meeting or conference, tuition, and supplies.

Students need an idea and a faculty or graduate student mentor. URSA can help connect students, discuss ideas, and answer questions. URSA also allows students to look at successfully funded project applications.

Contact URSA at 450-8772 or ursa.uaf@alaska.edu.
