Art and film featured at museum's First Friday

The University of Alaska Museum of the North will show a documentary film and open
an art exhibit on First Friday, Dec. 1.
The community is invited to the 40th anniversary special screening of the film "Uksuum
Cauyai: The Drums of Winter," directed by Sarah Elder and Leonard Kamerling.
Also, visitors can see a new exhibit featuring works by Fairbanks artist Jamie Smith
in the Café Gallery. Selected comics from his long-running Nuggets feature, along
with new, original works, will be on display through March 2018. This presentation
is part of a rotating schedule of exhibits in the coming year featuring UAF adjunct
artists.
The museum will open at 6:30 p.m., with the film starting at 7 p.m. For more information
