Improving the UAF recruitment process

A core activity of any active university is the recruitment of new faculty, staff and students to help accomplish the mission of that organization. Here at UAF, many person-hours are devoted to this activity and to the hiring of people for the many needs of our university. In order to improve this important process, Pat Pitney has chartered the HR Internal Recruitment Design (HIRED) from members of UAF HR, the UAF Process Improvement Team and two other UAF departments in order to find ways to make this process more efficient, timely and effective.

One of the first steps in this effort is to find out what parts of the current process are working well or need to be revised. Thus, HIRED has developed a short Pre-recruitment Customer Satisfaction survey in order to gather this information.

If you are involved in the recruitment of new employees, please complete this survey, and remind any of your staff, faculty or co-workers who are involved in recruitment to do so as well. This is needed so that the HIRED team can get as much insight into the existing processes as possible. We would like to get the results of this survey in by June 4, 2012.

The URL for the survey is: https://docs.google.com/a/alaska.edu/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dDRKaV8yQURkN1VfVWZwczVlYmxTR2c6MQ
