A message from UAF Financial Services:

Jason Miller passed away suddenly on June 12. Jason was an employee at Parking Services, the Business Office, and, most recently, Finance and Accounting. He was a lifelong resident of the Fairbanks area and part of the UAF community for nearly 20 years as a student. He was the embodiment of a true Nanook having earned his Associate of Arts (1997), two Bachelor of Arts (Anthropology and History - both cum laude in 1999) and Master of Business Administration (Capital Markets in 2011) all from UAF. Jason had an irreverent sense of humor and, at his very core, worked tirelessly to assist others in meeting their personal and educational goals. His passing has dealt a tremendous blow, not just to the individuals he worked with on a daily basis, but also to anyone that has relied upon his expertise or humor to help throughout the day. He will be greatly missed by the UAF community as a whole.A Celebration of Awesomeness will be held at 3:30 p.m. on July 12 in the Wood Center Ballroom with a potluck to follow. Please come and share your remembrances of Jason with his family, friends and co-workers.

The UAF Business Office is accepting cash and check donations to establish a scholarship fund in Jason Miller's memory, support UAF hockey and help defray funeral expenses.

Interested individuals can contact Sally Kim at 474-7553 in the Business Office or Lee Ann Amerson at 474-6664 in Financial Services at any time for more information regarding donations and information.
