Lunch talk: Washington state’s economic diversification experience

Join the Office of Intellectual Property and Commercialization for a brown bag lunch featuring Daniel Schwartz of the University of Washington at noon Tuesday, Jan. 23, in IARC 501.

Schwartz will discuss Washington state’s efforts to deepen and diversify multiple sectors of its economy through a network of intra/inter-university, state, federal and industry partnerships. His presentation will emphasize progress made in the clean technology sector as a specific case study, while also touching on other Alaska-relevant cluster areas such as maritime, military and defense, and forest products.
