Madnick to lead Office of Grants and Contracts Administration

Rosemary Madnick has accepted the position of director of the Office of Grants and Contracts Administration. Her first day at UAF will be Dec. 23.

Madnick brings more than 20 years of experience in grants/research administration, including pre-/post-award management, sponsored research negotiation and the development of training programs. The search committee believes that her leadership skills and experience will help advance UAF's grants and contracts administration processes to support the university’s research enterprise.

She is currently the assistant vice president for Research Administration at the Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She previously served as the director of Grants, Contracts and Compliance at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. She has also been very active in NCURA (National Council of University Research Administrators), having served on the national  and regional annual meeting committees and as chair for the NCURA Western region.
