KUAC FM terminated its Alaska Public Radio Network membership and stopped airing the network's programs as of Sept. 1.

"Talk of Alaska," "Alaska News Nightly" and "Alaska Economic Report," all APRN products, are no longer broadcast by KUAC.

The following programs have taken their place:

  • Monday through Friday, 6-6:30 p.m. — "Marketplace," an American Public Media business news program.

  • Monday through Thursday, 6:30-7 p.m. — BBC World Service's "Newsday," a news magazine.

  • Friday, 6:30-7 p.m. — "All Songs Considered," an NPR program that's "home to the best new music and a community of fans always ready to share their opinions on the current music scene."

  • Tuesday, 10-11 a.m. — American Public Media education documentaries.

The new programs come with KUAC’s existing subscriptions, so the station's costs have not increased.
