The University of Alaska Museum of the North is offering hands-on programs about insects during the month of May.

At Junior Curators from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, kids 6 and older (and their younger siblings) can discover butterflies and dragonflies with museum scientist Kathryn Daly. The Junior Curators program on Saturday, May 14, explores beneficial bugs.

Early Explorers, for children five and under, meets each Friday from 10 a.m.-noon in the museum’s Creativity Lab. All activities are included with admission. For more information about the museum’s programs and events, visit the website at www.uaf.edu/museum or call 907-474-7505.
