The University of Alaska Museum of the North is exploring dinosaurs and fossils at hands-on programs during the month of November.
Families are invited to drop in with children 5 and under at Early Explorers Fridays from 10 a.m.-noon. On Saturday, Nov. 4, children 6 and older are invited to Junior Curators. Teen Studio on Saturday, Nov. 11, offers an opportunity for young adults ages 13-18 to identify fossils and create molds. Please preregister at bit.ly/uamnteenstudio.
At Family Day: Dinos & Fossils on Saturday, Nov. 18, from noon to 4 p.m., visitors can see and touch real fossils. There is no admission fee for children 14 and under at Family Days, thanks to support from TOTE Maritime.
