Wood Center offers funds for risk-prevention projects

The Wood Center is soliciting funding proposals for events, programs or initiatives that focus on prevention of risks to student health and safety. These efforts can be student-sponsored and can include passive programming and educational marketing materials. Examples of topics include:

  • Drug and alcohol education

  • Alcohol sanctions

  • Safe rides

  • Sexual assault awareness and education

  • Healthy relationships

  • Suicide prevention

  • Bystander intervention


Please fill out this form to apply for one-time funding for an effort that will serve the University of Alaska Fairbanks, at any campus site. This can focus on sexual and interpersonal violence prevention, alcohol and drug abuse prevention, mental health awareness and suicide prevention. The funding can be applied to training opportunities, events for campus, conferences or larger initiatives. You may be asked for more information by the committee.
