Public open house: Yankovich, Miller Hill road reconstruction and multiuse path

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, in cooperation with
the Federal Highway Administration, is proposing the reconstruction of Miller Hill
Road and Yankovich Road from Sheep Creek Road to Ballaine Road. The project includes
constructing a multiuse path from the Large Animal Research Station to Ballaine Road
that will tie into the existing multiuse path on Farmers Loop. Utility relocates and
right-of-way acquisitions within the project area are anticipated. DOT&PF will present
preliminary engineering design and environmental considerations to the community in
an open-house format. There will not be a formal presentation.
This public event takes place Wednesday, Aug. 9, from 6-8 p.m., in the Patty Center.
