The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host a conversation with former Chancellor Brian Rogers at 4 p.m. Aug. 27 in UAF’s Elvey Building auditorium.

The event will conclude the Centennial Celebration Speakers Series, which featured interviews this summer with leaders who shaped UAF during its first century. Journalist Robert Hannon will join Rogers for the conversation.

Rogers served as UAF chancellor from 2008-15, capping a long association with the university that began as a student. A longtime Fairbanks resident and state leader, Rogers previously served for seven years as the UA system's finance vice president, four years in the Alaska State House and eight years as a member of the UA Board of Regents.

The speakers series is hosted by UAF Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning. A public reception will follow the event.
