Rosemary Madnick, executive director of UAF's Office of Grants and Contracts Administration, has received a Julia Jacobsen Distinguished Service Award from the National Council of University Research Administrators.

NCURA will present the award to Madnick at its annual meeting in Washington, D.C., Aug. 6-9.

The award recognizes individuals who have made sustained and distinctive contributions to NCURA. Madnick has served the 7,000-plus-member association in various roles since joining in 1998.

“Over the years, she has served NCURA with distinction and epitomizes the true meaning of volunteerism," said NCURA’s Executive Director Kathleen Larmett.

NCURA is a nonprofit society dedicated to advancing the field of research administration through education and professional development programs.
