The University of Alaska Fairbanks is asking North Campus trail users to avoid sections of the Skarland ski trail that pass near the Cutler and Hess Village apartment complexes for the rest of the cross-country skiing season.

That section of the trail crosses Tanana Loop, which is being used as heavy equipment access for the Life Sciences construction project. Skiers may encounter traffic at trail crossings and should use caution.

The Baseline Winter Trail offers an alternate route. For a map of the affected areas, visit www.uaf.edu/trails.
