Take a ride to 'Hacksaw Ridge'

Students can see the movie "Hacksaw Ridge" and join a discussion afterward on Wednesday, Nov. 9.

The movie tells the story of Desmond Doss, who refused to bear arms during WWII but won the Congressional Medal of Honor after risking his life in the Battle of Okinawa.

The Leadership, Involvement and Volunteer Experience Office is sponsoring the free viewing. A discussion of the leadership qualities portrayed in the film will follow at Denny's restaurant, where students also can get a free dessert.

RSVP as soon as possible. Spaces are limited.

Those who RSVP should be sure to be available between 6 and 9 p.m. People who RSVP will be notified of the exact time when it is available.
