Educators looking for innovative ways to incorporate Google Apps into their classroom should register for the second annual Alaska Summit Featuring Google for Education. The summit, which takes place July 28-30, 2015, at West Valley High School in Fairbanks, is free and open to the public.

Authorized Google Education Trainers will be at all sessions.

Registrants can choose their own schedule, selecting from more than 40 sessions, including Google Drive 101, Advanced Google Calendar, and Providing Feedback. Authorized Google education trainers will be present in all sessions.

A one-credit continuing education option is available for $60. If interested in earning credit, email Kathy Port at kathy.port@k12northstar.org after registering.

Though the summit is crafted for educators, anyone who uses Chrome, Gmail, or other Google Apps in a professional or personal setting will benefit from the sessions. All are welcome to come and go as they please.

See the full schedule and register.

Those who can’t make the summit in person will be able to view select sessions (to be determined) via a live stream at http://elearning.uaf.edu/go/googleapps.

This event is a joint effort between UAF eLearning and the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District.
