UAF food pantry video highlights service, community

The UAF food pantry, in Wood Center, is marking its fourth year with a short video by student videographer Zayn Roohi, who worked with colleagues at University Relations to develop the piece. The food pantry was the result of a project undertaken by former student Juan Cruz as part of a requirement for graduating with leadership distinction. The pantry is open to all UAF students; students do not need to demonstrate financial need. Hours vary by semester. In fall 2017 the pantry is open Tuesdays from 3:45-5:15 p.m. and Wednesdays from 2-4 p.m.

Donations of nonperishable food are always welcome. You can drop off items in a box marked "food pantry" at the front desk in Wood Center. For more information, call 474-6311.
