Volunteer to inspire kids to go to college

You can help inspire kids to go to college! On April 16 and 18, 2018, 400 sixth-graders will visit the Fairbanks campus to experience a day in the life of a college student. Faculty, staff and students can lead a 45-minute session to a group of 25 kids in any subject. Past sessions have included dissections, tours of lab space, foreign language sessions and math lessons. Available sessions are:

Monday, April 16 — Arctic Light Elementary


  • 10-10:40 a.m.

  • 10:50-11:30 a.m.


Wednesday, April 18 — Tok, Hunter, Pearl Creek, Salcha, Ladd, Nordale and UPark elementary schools

  • 10:15-11 a.m.

  • 11:15 a.m.-noon

  • 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

  • 12:45-1:30 p.m.
