Wood Center roof replacement starts May 14

May 9, 2017

Wood Center will close for a week starting May 14 as work to replace its copper roof begins. The project is a top priority after back-to-back years of leaks and failed emergency repairs.

The building will close intermittently throughout the summer.

The project will replace the aged copper roof, upgrading its thermal performance and removing the troublesome leaky skylights on the west side. In addition, the walking deck on the east side will be renewed with a better membrane and better thermal performance while maintaining the deck's functionality.

Work on the project is scheduled to be complete by Sept. 30, 2017. Please be aware of the alternate pedestrian access routes during construction. Download a map with more details about access here.
